NEW EXHIBITION
The Armand Niquille Foundation is preparing a new exhibition bringing around the Fribourg artist together three other Swiss artists, also active in the second half of the 20th century. This collective exhibition entitled URBANITÉS aims to bring together Niquille's view of the city with that of the painter from Geneva Dominique Appia (1926-2017), the painter from Basel Andreas His (1928-2011) and the artist from Vaud Émilienne Farny (1938-2014), all of whom have devoted a significant part of their work to the representation of the city. Among the sixty or so carefully selected works from institutions and private collections are several emblematic paintings by Armand Niquille that the public has not had the opportunity to see for more than 25 years or that they will discover for the first time. The URBANITÉS exhibition will be held in a large space adjacent to the Swiss Bier Museum Cardinal at Bluefactory Fribourg-Freiburg from 29 September 2023 to 28 January 2024. Opening on Thursday 28 September.
